.minX Interactive Music, Dance & Multimedia Concert
.minX is a dance-theatre project initiated by the interdisciplinary art collective .ratatataM!, based in Hamburg, Germany. At its core, the work interprets the concept of “minimal thinking” through artistic language, focusing on the essence of life and seeking inner tranquility and beauty within the present moment. Grounded in Minimal Music and contemporary body practices that emphasize mindfulness of the now, the project constructs a multidimensional artistic experience through the fundamental elements of sound, movement, and presence. It invites audiences to reconsider the possibilities of “What is less? What is more?”, shifting attention from surface-level complexity toward deeper perception and essence.
Special consideration is given to the experience of hearing-impaired audiences: an algorithm translates musical frequencies into dynamic visual imagery, allowing sound to be “heard” through sight. The choreography also draws inspiration from the grace and strength inherent in sign language, making bodily expression a bridge for shared perception and communication.
